Aftercare

Aunty Annette and Aunty Linda are part of the fabric that makes up Hilton Pre Primary. They are both Mothers who love children and have been an essential part of this school for many years now.

Linda and Annette both absolutely love working with children and make an excellent team. Aftercare should be like “home away from Home”, where the children are in an environment where they feel free to grow and develop at their own pace. Our focus is on providing a secure environment one where the children are given the freedom to be creative, while still offering a structure, perfect for early childhood development.

 

Annette and Linda aim to ensure all your children are happy and feel safe and loved! The relationship between aftercare, school and parent is a triangle of trust and teamwork.

The standards of our school values are woven into the everyday life of the Teddies aftercare. Manners, waiting turns, discipline procedures and rules all stay the same. We have an incident book and follow up with children who are vulnerable or who are struggling and who are needing support.

Our aftercare is a time when special bonds are made between all ages; from our little ducklings who’s faces light up when they see their grade R friends who happily come to help carry bags and hold hands as they arrive at 2pm, to some of the older children who love the occasional wheelbarrow ride from Zweli.

 

Teddies is not only for children who need aftercare daily but also provide a safe and fun environment for children on a casual basis. There is an hourly rate and a monthly rate to suit all sorts of needs. Teddies expects you to send a nutritious snack daily for your children and a fresh juice bottle daily. When you apply to join Teddies Linda and Annette will give you a folder on all their policies and procedures and fee structures.
